Project description
At least 85% of end-of-life ABS plastic, found in durable products ranging from toys to automotive components and daily-use items such as shavers, ends up in landfills or being incinerated. The ABSolEU project aims to develop and mature a technology for the physical recycling of ABS, providing a clean and safe recyclate that is free of additives and contaminants to reintroduce it into the value chain for the production of new products.
Prospex Institute´s role
In scope of the project, Prospex Institute will complete a thorough stakeholder mapping and organisation of Europe-wide events gathering citizens, policy makers and experts. The goal is to better understand their needs and barriers to facilitate the industry's uptake of the ABSolEU recycling technology, leading to a more circular ABS plastic value chain.
