The large-scale implementation of local energy storage solutions is still in its infancy and faces several practical and legal barriers, for which both technical solutions and far-reaching agreements among stakeholders are needed. The major issues today are: interoperability, customer engagement and DSO involvement.
This online event was split in 8 short interactive sessions, spread over 3 days, between 20-22 October 2020. All sessions had a different focus (see below). We were thrilled to welcome a variety of stakeholder insights and expertise.
All sessions are part of the final stakeholder workshop and closing event of the STORY project (2015-2020). STORY focuses on the added value of local energy storage in distribution systems and is funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme. Every session was moderated by a STORY partner and representatives of other H2020 projects (through BRIDGE). Please go to the STORY website for more information about the project.
