FOCUS
Prospex Institute searches for an experienced consultant with a background in circular economy and stakeholder dialogue for taking up a co-leadership in EU research projects (e.g., on rare earths, multi- layered materials, (bio)plastics, textiles) and other projects. Ideally with experience/background and interest in strategy development and negotiation/conflict resolution. Work experience: 10 to 15 years.
TASKS
Focus
-
In the field of circular economy (e.g., for rare earths, multi-layered materials, (bio)plastics, textiles) and other fields: substantial dialogue with diverse stakeholders (from government, business, research to civil society and citizens)
-
Contribution to and co-leadership of Prospex Institute’s work in top level EU research projects (e.g., SecREEts, Bioplastics Europe, SCIRT, CIMPA)
-
Co-design and co-facilitation of participatory and co-creation dialogue and engagement processes, including multi-stakeholder, in-person, digital and hybrid ones

Perform analyses of processes and outcomes and collaborate on further concept and tool development in these areas
Related tasks

Develop foresight, strategies and action plans and processes
-
Contribute to negotiation/conflict resolution processes and tools
Supporting tasks
-
Project management, project planning, guide the organisation and implementation of projects and processes
-
Team and quality management, ensuring quality delivery and guiding junior and other consultants in their activities
-
Networking and alliance building, contribution to proposal development and writing
-
Participation in project meetings and events across Europe
YOUR PROFILE
Degree and experience
-
An adequate academic qualification (minimum: Master’s degree) in a relevant field
-
Work experience for 10-15 years
-
Experience with EU research & innovation programmes/projects an asset
Knowledge and interests
-
Significant applied knowledge in the field of circular economy
-
Applied knowledge of dialogue, engagement processes and methods, and ideally negotiation and
strategic processes and methods
-
Interest in a variety of topics and sectors, including but not limited to circular economy and
research and innovation
Skills and attitudes
-
Excellent conceptual analytical skills, applied to technical, strategic and/or decision-making processes
-
Ability to design, organise and implement engagement processes, including moderation/facilitation of events
-
Skills in negotiation/conflict resolution processes and strategy development a strong asset
-
Goal- and deadline-orientation, very good organisational and project management skills, ability to work independently and as a team player
-
Demonstrated professional, open-minded and proactive, respectful and user-/customer-friendly attitude to engage with diverse individuals and groups
Language, location & travel
-
An excellent native or near native command of English and a second European language; all languages an asset
-
Ideally familiar with the Belgian/Brussels environment
-
Willing to travel frequently, also internationally, between 1 day and several days per month (COVID-19 situation allowing)
